British Street Food award-winners ("Best of the Best" 2014, no biggy) Fu-Schnikens have announced a 2-day takeover of mega-venue Headrow House this weekend, setting up shop in the Ox Club kitchen this weekend.
This collaboration has seemed inevitable ever since Ben Davy - the man behind Fu-Schnikens - was announced as the development chef for Ox Club, and now we've pinched ourselves a few times to make sure it's real, we're overjoyed to be able to spread the good news.
Expect the a la carte menu to feature familiar street food dishes - silky dumplings filled with pork & wild garlic or beetroot & enoki mushroom. Hot wings pungent with fish sauce - as well as the classic, vegetarian & tantanmen ramen they honed for the House of Fu-Schnikens supper-club at last year's Leeds Indie Food Festival.
They'll also be putting Ox Club's famous Grillworks grill and Big Green Egg to good use, searing tuna over hot coals with seaweed & yuzu, and slow-cooking ribs in fermented chilli sauce.
As well as the food, special beer pairings will be available from the likes of Beavertown, North Brewing Co and Yeastie Boys, and don't be surprised if there's a special cocktail on the Redondo Beach menu to complete the takeover.
Fu-Schnikens takeover of Headrow House will take place Sunday 6th and Monday 7th March, 6pm - 10pm. No reservations. For more information see the Facebook event here
